NBC UNIVERSAL

1987 - 1999

This is where I got my start, writing, producing and editing for the marketing department at WRC-TV, an NBC owned and operated local tv station. I learned two important truths: 1) effective storytelling is all about grabbing people by the necktie and 2) local news has been drained of any virtue by the bean counters. If you want to do good and move the needle you have to tell your own story. Certainly don't wait for the media to tell it for you.
